Quick Fixes for Common Issues

Most problems can be resolved with a few simple steps. Find your issue below, or reach out if you are still stuck.

Sign-in & Account

I can’t sign in
  • Verify your email and password are correct — check for caps lock and extra spaces.
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again.
  • Temporarily disable browser extensions (some block sign-in scripts).
  • Use Forgot Password to reset your credentials.
My session keeps expiring or signing me out
  • Ensure cookies are enabled for the Hub — sessions rely on a secure cookie.
  • Check that your device’s date and time are correct.
  • Use a stable internet connection; sessions refresh in the background periodically.
I can’t access my account (two-factor authentication)

Two-factor authentication is not available yet — it is coming soon, so you cannot currently be locked out by it. If you are having trouble accessing your account for any other reason, email info@cybere.co from the address on your account so we can verify your identity and help you recover access. Once 2FA ships, the same address will help you recover if you lose your authenticator.

Expenses & Groups

My expenses aren’t showing up or updating

Check your internet connection and refresh the page. If you added an expense on a flaky connection, reload once you are back online and confirm it saved. Try a different browser or a private window to rule out a stale cache.

Settlement calculations look wrong
  • Confirm every expense is assigned to the right people and group.
  • Check the amounts and who paid on each expense.
  • If expenses use different currencies, verify the amounts were entered in the currency you expect.
I can’t add someone to a group

Double-check the email address you entered, and confirm the person isn’t already a member of the group. See the group management guide for a full walkthrough.

Data & Privacy

My data export didn’t work or the file looks empty

Open My Data and request the export again — large exports can take a moment to prepare. Make sure your browser allowed the download and didn’t block the pop-up. The full steps are in the data export guide.

My privacy settings aren’t saving

Save each change and wait for the confirmation before navigating away. If a setting reverts, refresh the page and try again on a stable connection. The privacy settings guide explains what each control does.

Performance

Pages load slowly
  • Check your internet connection speed.
  • Update to the latest version of your browser.
  • Disable a VPN temporarily if you are seeing delays.
The app freezes or a tab crashes
  • Clear your browser cache and reload.
  • Close unnecessary browser tabs to free up memory.
  • If it keeps happening, report it on GitHub Issues with steps to reproduce.
