Our Story
CyberEco was born from the frustration of seeing technology increasingly designed to extract value from users rather than provide it. Social media platforms optimize for addiction. Financial apps charge hidden fees. Data is harvested without meaningful consent.
We knew there had to be a better way. Starting with JustSplit, a simple expense-sharing app, we proved that useful software does not need to exploit its users. Now we are building an entire ecosystem of applications based on principles of digital sovereignty, privacy, and human-centered design.

Digital Sovereignty
Users own their data. Every data type supports export and deletion. No vendor lock-in to any provider, including us.
Storage Agnosticism
No service ever imports a storage backend directly. All data operations flow through the StorageAdapter interface.
Privacy by Default
Permissions are checked on every operation, not assumed. No open collections. GDPR compliance is built in.
Wellbeing by Design
Technology should enhance human life, not consume it. No dark patterns, no engagement optimization, no addictive features.
Offline-First Ready
The data layer assumes intermittent connectivity. Multi-level caching and sync ensure access even when offline.
Community-Driven
Open source packages anyone can install and inspect. Modular architecture for contribution without gatekeeping.
Simplicity Over Cleverness
Every abstraction must earn its place. Prefer explicit code over magic. Do not build what is not needed today.

We believe in transparency and community contribution. Our data layer packages are licensed Apache-2.0 and are opening to the community; the platform itself is proprietary. Anyone can inspect, use, and contribute.

Your data stays yours, always. We build privacy into the architecture from the start, not as an afterthought.

We grow deliberately, without pressure to exploit users for metrics. Long-term thinking over quarterly reports.

Where We Are Headed
From a solid foundation to full decentralization
Hub and JustSplit running on Firebase. Data layer extracted into four independent npm packages. StorageAdapter abstraction established.
Somos, Demos, and Plantopia join the ecosystem. Client-side encryption at rest. TransportAdapter interface designed.
CYE token testnet. WiFi Direct and Bluetooth mesh for local peer-to-peer sync. CRDTs for conflict-free offline operation.
Self-sovereign storage replaces Firebase. Fully homomorphic encryption enables private analytics. The business logic never changes.
